Kashi is a well-known health and wellness brand celebrated for cereals, waffles, and bars. For this conceptual project, I extended their commitment to nutritious, sustainable food by reintroducing entrees in the form of freeze-dried hiking meals — Peace Meal — aimed at Kashi’s core audience of women who value health, wellness, and mindful living.
CHALLENGE
Kashi had moved away from entrees, leaving a gap for adventure-ready meals that aligned with their values of health, wellness, and environmental responsibility. The project required creating a full sub-brand and campaign that felt like a natural evolution of Kashi while appealing specifically to health-conscious women seeking convenient, plant-based nutrition for outdoor adventures.

INSIGHT
As an outdoor enthusiast myself, I recognized the lack of satisfying vegan hiking meals that provided real sustenance. Kashi’s loyal female audience already seeks balance, nourishment, and harmony in their daily lives. By drawing on old-school adventure aesthetics and Kashi’s core ethos of balance and harmony with nature, we could create meals that celebrate the wonders of the outdoors while reinforcing the brand’s plant-based, sustainable roots.
APPROACH
I built Peace Meal around a central symbol of peace and harmony: a radiant sun where almonds form the rays and Kashi’s familiar plants and ingredients orbit in balanced rotation.
